Job Description

Job Overview:
The Controls Technician is responsible for commissioning, servicing, and maintaining building automation systems that use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic technologies . The role involves system calibration , software programming , documentation updates , and customer interaction .
Key Responsibilities:
Commission and re-commission building automation systems. Calibrate systems using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, laptops). Update and maintain As-Built drawings using Visio, Excel, and Word. Perform point-to-point checkouts, diagnostics, and repairs. Program and test control systems (static and dynamic). Set up operator workstations and software. Maintain project documentation and communicate progress. Troubleshoot and repair control panels and field devices. Coordinate with project managers and clients. Ensure safety and security of tools and systems. Attend meetings, assist with training, and travel as needed.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with: Electrical systems (120VAC, 24VAC, 24VDC, 12VDC) Mechanical systems (chillers, air handlers, boilers, etc.) Familiarity with control systems like Automated Logic, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Alerton is a plus. Strong skills in ladder logic, relay logic, and field devices . Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings. Proficient in troubleshooting and customer communication.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures. Maintain awareness of environmental hazards. Ensure proper documentation and reporting.
