Job Description:

The Senior Systems Administrator will provide systems administration and IT maintenance activities, as required, to support 24/7/365 operations across all

AFOSC PED

sites.

Essential Job Functions:

Assign personnel to projects, directing their activities, and evaluating their work. Install, maintain, configure, and ensure the integrity of computer software. Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Provide second-tier support to end-users for PC server, mainframe applications, and hardware. Resolve problems that the first tier of help desk support is unable to resolve. Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify the correct core problem. Simulate/recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties and/or errors. Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems. Maintain currency and the highest level of technical skill in the field of expertise. Assist with identification of equipment that needs to be acquired, equipment sustainment, and equipment distribution. Assist configuration manager with shipping and control, to include equipment pickup, packing, shipping, and tracking.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

6+ years of relevant experience to the position DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 Automated Information Discover Environment (AIDE) Full Motion Video (FMV) Principles Software/Hardware Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Client, Office, Directory Services Administration, Group Policy, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Hyper-V VMWare Vcenter/Vsphere Network Infrastructure Cabling (Fiber/Copper) Disaster Recovery Procedures Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)

Cisco VTC Administration Audio Visual Systems Administration Crestron Toolbox TS/SCI Security Clearance Skills and Qualifications Preferred:

Bachelors' Degree in related field Linux Red Hat Linux Netapp Ontap

NCDA ITIL
