Position Summary Chartis Federal is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide systems administration support for a mission-critical tactical communications environment. This role is responsible for supporting the continuous operation, performance, maintenance, backup and recovery readiness, and operational stability of communications systems infrastructure in a secure operational environment. This position is contingent upon award. Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and rebuild servers and infrastructure systems Configure hardware, software, storage, services, directories, and related systems Perform daily monitoring of systems, applications, logs, and operational health Conduct backup and recovery operations Perform file archival, storage management, and system maintenance Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and security updates Support system hardening and cybersecurity compliance Create, modify, and manage user accounts Provide Tier III troubleshooting and issue resolution Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents Support hardware/software recovery activities Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning Optimize CPU, memory, and storage resources Maintain environmental monitoring equipment Develop and maintain system administration procedures Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement Support ad hoc technical initiatives
