- We are seeking a Linux Infrastructure Engineer to support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) patching and vulnerability remediation in an enterprise environment.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule RHEL patching activities across enterprise systems
- Create and manage change records using ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
- Validate patching and vulnerability remediation results using system data and reports
- Analyze host-level system information to help identify factors impacting patch or remediation outcomes
- Work with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support remediation efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation to support audits, reporting, and compliance requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- + Working knowledge of Linux, including command-line usage and system navigation + Understanding of patching, vulnerability remediation, and system maintenance concepts + Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills + Ability to follow structured processes in controlled IT environments + Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or IT operations - or equivalent work experience + Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments + Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Experience coordinating work through ServiceNow (change, incident, problem management) + Experience with RHEL patching and maintenance in enterprise environments + Experience using Red Hat Satellite for lifecycle or patch management + Familiarity with vulnerability management workflows, including Qualys and ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) + Ability to analyze system configuration and OS state to support remediation efforts + Basic scripting experience (Bash or Python) for operational or troubleshooting tasks + Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible (not required) + RHCSA + RHCE •Work Environment•This role supports a 24/7 operational model.
