Description:
Information technology professional responsible for the installation, upkeep, and reliable operation of the computer and software systems that manage and control physical security systems; especially multi-user computers, such as servers. The systems administrator seeks to ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers and software applications they manage meet the needs of the business and end-users, without exceeding a set budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzing the system needs of a Corporate Security organization Ongoing collaboration with business partners and IT colleagues Installing, maintaining and validating proposed solutions in development, production, and disaster recovery environments Detect, diagnose, and resolve problems at the operating system and application levels Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairs Maintain system security on the computers and the network as a whole Troubleshooting and deploying network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches Detecting, mitigating, and resolving cyber-security vulnerabilities Evaluating and optimizing all systems on a regular basis Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system Defining and representing system change requests to
Change Advisory Board Qualifications and Skills:
2+ years of database, network administration, and system administration experience Knowledge of server operating systems, hardware, and networking protocols Experience with Microsoft PowerShell, and SQL scripting and automation tools Knowledge of Microsoft Server and network operating systems administration Knowledge of implementing and developing IT operations best practices, including knowledge of security, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols Knowledge of computer virtualization and VMWare Knowledge and experience in deploying and administering Microsoft SQL Server and databases Knowledge of server, application, and vulnerability management monitoring tools 2+ years of IT change management process experience
