As a Hadoop Admin (Chicago or Charlotte), you will be part of the Data Operations Department supporting cross-functional teams involved in managing and supporting big data platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:
Chicago, IL What's the Job? Manage and support Hadoop platforms, including building, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-to-end platform operations Perform patching, automation, and configuration management to ensure platform stability and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams related to markets and banking to support user platforms and data solutions Monitor system metrics, handle incident resolution, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning Serve as a technical liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver optimal platform solutions What's Needed? 5-8 years of experience in Hadoop administration, with hands-on experience in Cloudera support and patching Proficiency in cluster management, troubleshooting, and automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting languages Strong knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, YARN, and related components like Kafka, Spark, Impala, and HBase Experience with Unix/Linux systems, databases, and DevOps practices Certifications in Cloudera Admin/Dev and Cloud technologies are preferred What's in it for me?
