Our extensive product lineup includes mills, lathes, saws, grinders, press brakes, shears, rolls, plasma systems, and other industrial machinery used by manufacturers throughout the United States and Canada. We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our team in Schiller Park, IL . This position combines shop-based machine preparation and testing with customer support, troubleshooting, machine demonstrations, and field service work. What You'll Do Prepare new machines for customer delivery and installation Uncrate, assemble, inspect, and test machinery to ensure proper operation Perform machine demonstrations and operator walkthroughs in our showroom Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues both remotely and on-site Provide technical support to customers by phone and email Assist with machine installations and startup activities Complete service documentation and inspection reports Work closely with customers, sales staff, and service personnel to ensure successful machine deliveries Qualifications 2 years experience working with capital Equipment, machine tools, or fabrication equipment 2 years experience of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase power Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation Excellent communication and customer service skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Comfortable working in both a shop and customer-facing environment Travel This position is primarily based in our Schiller Park showroom and warehouse. Travel typically ranges from 25-35% and may include: Customer installations Service visits Industry trade shows such as IMTS and FABTECH Support for large machinery deliveries Travel requirements may fluctuate throughout the year based on customer demand and company growth.
