We are seeking a mission-focused and technically capable Mid-Level Network Administrator to support a Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity program. In this role, you'll assist with managing and securing network infrastructure in a classified, high-assurance environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with network hardware, strong troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative mindset, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced team. Job Description Perform daily administration and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure, including Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve connectivity issues promptly Support implementation of network security configurations and policies in alignment with DoD cybersecurity frameworks Conduct regular vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts using tools such as ACAS Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and contribute to Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration baselines, and asset inventories Assist in incident response activities by collecting and analyzing network data Work closely with senior network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and systems teams on RMF-aligned initiatives Participate in formal change management processes for planned network updates and implementations Minimum Requirements Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance DoD 8470/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) 3+ years of experience in network administration in a DoD or large-scale IT environment Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting of Juniper and Cisco routing, and switching Hands-on experience with: Juniper and Cisco networking equipment, Routing protocols: BGP and OSPF, Switching, VLAN configuration, VMware networking components, firewall administration and rule management Familiarity with RMF processes, STIGs, and system hardening practices Proficiency with common troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, etc.) Strong attention to detail, documentation habits, and communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a mission-oriented technical team More Information At Foxhole Technology, we are committed to pay transparency as required by law, for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $59,000-$67,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors as permitted by law.
