S_175417 The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, organization, installation, and support of the organization's computer systems. This role involves designing and installing LANs, WANs, intranet systems, and network segments. Working in collaboration with the IT team, the administrator supports strategic goals to ensure excellent customer service and efficient system operations.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:

Install and maintain network hardware and software while ensuring connectivity across LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Performance Monitoring:

Analyze and isolate network issues and monitor systems to ensure security and availability for users.

Security Administration:

Manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus, intrusion prevention, web-filtering, and encryption products.

System Integrity:

Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployments, and security, including the administration of Windows Server environments.

User Support:

Identify and resolve user network needs and respond to incoming calls or emails regarding desktop and network problems.

Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed inventory and documentation related to network mapping, configurations, processes, and service records.

Policy Development:

Establish best practices for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of workstation hardware and peripheral devices.

Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency:

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Studio, and MS SQL.

Problem Solving:

Strong ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions from technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience or certifications with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policies, and TCP/IP networking required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret technical journals and legal documents.

Physical Capability:

Must be able to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
