We want to expand our team to support our growing client base. Once you join our team, your time will be devoted to assisting a broad range of audiences with a wide array of technical challenges both remotely and on-site. Technical experience is important; however, strong work ethic, commitment to quality work, integrity, team unity, and excellent communication skills are equally important. Responsibilities Serve as a point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or in person. Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and effective questioning. Visit client locations to install or replace computers, servers, and network equipment. Maintain network, server, storage, and cloud infrastructure across multiple client environments. Assist clients with troubleshooting involving software and third-party support providers. Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Manage and secure Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune environments. Configure and monitor backups, manage restore operations, and maintain disaster recovery plans. Configure firewalls, switches, and VPNs. Implement and maintain endpoint protection, patching, and access control policies. Use tools like PowerShell or RMM scripting to automate recurring tasks. Maintain monitoring tools and respond to system and network alerts. Resolve complex issues escalated by Systems Support Technicians. Assist engineers with implementations, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades. Maintain detailed records of system configurations, network diagrams, and client infrastructure. Work directly with vendors for hardware replacements, warranty claims, and escalated support. Help develop and enforce MSP best practices and standard configurations across clients. Interface with client contacts on technical issues, recommendations, and follow-up actions. Work with internal teams to develop processes that improve security, technical excellence, and efficiency. Be willing to invest time in technical education. Maintain professional presentation and appearance. Key Qualifications Proven experience in an IT support or administration role, or another applicable role Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment Good judgment and the ability to effectively prioritize work Ability to work independently, in person, as a company representative Ability to work as a part of a team to help accomplish larger goals and projects Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written Attention to detail: punctuality, scheduling, documentation, record keeping, etc. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and configuration (firewall, endpoint security, account security, etc.) Knowledge of email administration and email protocols Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Entra, Intune, Purview, Defender, Azure, etc.) Knowledge of the latest Microsoft desktop and server operating systems Knowledge of Windows Server administration (Active Directory, GPOs, etc.) Knowledge of backup systems Knowledge of fundamental and advanced networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, switching, routing, wired networking, wireless networking, etc.) Knowledge of leading virtualization technologies Knowledge of MDM platforms used to manage iOS devices Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, and sit. Must be able to move up to 50 lbs. Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms. Climb stairs and ladders and maintain balance. Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have a valid driver's license, be able to drive a car, and travel to the Fort Wayne IT Solutions office. Must be able to perform all listed job responsibilities during the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The right candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds, have a modern smartphone that can be used for MFA, have a reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and valid auto insurance.
