Full job description We are seeking experienced and reliable Service Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a technical knowledge of irrigation systems and experience working in a customer service or technical support role. We are committed to providing customers with the highest level of technical service, and we take pride in hiring Service Technicians who can exceed our customer's high expectations for quick, accurate and professional service. We also recognize the value of experience and are willing to offer compensation above the listed pay range for those whose qualifications and expertise warrant it.
Responsibilities:
- Service & Repair
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems, including pulling and fitting piping, setting sprinkler heads, and testing for proper function. Remove, replace, and install necessary parts and components.
- Site Preparation & Cleanup
- Perform hand digging for irrigation repairs and adjustments, ensuring minimal disruption to existing landscapes. Backfill and cover trenches or holes upon completion of work, leaving the site clean and orderly.
- Irrigation System Knowledge & Expertise
- Maintain a strong understanding of irrigation system components, including various sprinkler head types, valve types, controllers, and their applications. Use this knowledge to diagnose issues, perform repairs independently, and confidently answer customer questions about system function, maintenance, and efficiency.
- Customer Communication & Support
- Engage with customers regularly to assess service satisfaction, offer watering strategies, and provide solutions for efficient water usage. Identify and propose enhancement opportunities.
- Equipment & Inventory Management
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain irrigation tools and equipment. Accurately document parts used on-site to ensure proper inventory tracking and replenishment by the office. Maintain cleanliness of personal company vehicle and service equipment.
- Operational Efficiency & Compliance
- Activate and winterize systems per seasonal needs, adjust irrigation schedules for efficiency, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in irrigation installation, maintenance, or repair a strong plus (entry-level positions may provide training).
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing various irrigation components, including valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, and pumps heavily preferred.
- Understanding of irrigation system components, including different head types, valve types, backflow preventers, axillary pumps, and controllers.
- Ability to diagnose and repair system issues such as leaks, wiring failures, and pressure problems.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical labor.
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00- $24.
