Position Summary:

The Systems Administrator supports technology operations across all company entities and reports to the Director of Systems and Integration. This is a technical role responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, and improvement of the server, network, cloud, and endpoint environments that support approximately 200 users across multiple Louisiana facilities. The position also contributes to cybersecurity operations and plays an active role implementing and maintaining technical controls for compliance frameworks. The Systems Administrator works as a peer to the IT Services Manager, with the two roles covering complementary areas of the IT function, and partners with the Software Development team under the combined IT and Development organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure and Server Administration Administer and maintain Windows Server environments including patching, monitoring, and performance tuning Manage Hyper V hosts and virtual machines supporting production workloads Support the vSAN storage cluster, including health monitoring, capacity planning, and resync operations Plan, execute, and document system upgrades, migrations, and scheduled maintenance activities Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes and validate recoverability on a regular cadence Network and Security Operations Administer firewalls, VPN tunnels, and site to site connectivity between company facilities Administer switching and wireless infrastructure across all sites Wireless Network Surveys Monitor and respond to alerts from Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and related security tooling Assist in the design, deployment, and enforcement of security controls and system hardening standards Participate in incident response, investigation, and containment activities as needed Cloud and Endpoint Management Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant, including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Defender Manage hybrid Active Directory, including Entra Connect synchronization, Group Policy, and identity lifecycle workflows Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoints through Intune and other RMM tooling Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and runbooks End User Support Collaborate with the IT Services Manager on day to day user support, with this role focusing on requests that require systems, infrastructure, or security expertise Pick up tickets from the shared queue as workload and priority allow, including coverage during the IT Services Manager's absences Provide direct user support for Windows, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, printers, and line of business applications Partner with the IT Services Manager on employee onboarding, offboarding, and asset management workflows Cybersecurity and Compliance Assist with and at times lead the implementation of technical controls Gather and organize evidence, maintain control documentation, and support internal and external audit activities Participate in risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking Contribute to the ongoing development of IT policies, standards, and procedures. Software Development Team Collaboration Partner with the in-house Software Development team to support the infrastructure, integrations, and services that internal applications rely on Provision and maintain servers, databases, and connectivity for line-of-business applications Manage internal and public SSL/TLS certificates and coordinate with external hosting, DNS, and domain providers Apply light scripting (PowerShell or similar) to automate routine administration and deployment tasks — formal development is not expected Troubleshoot issues that span infrastructure and application layers alongside developers General Travel between company facilities in Amite, Washington, and Greensburg, Louisiana as business needs require Perform after hours work as needed to support maintenance windows, outages, and critical incidents Contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes, tooling, and automation

Qualifications:

Required Five or more years of progressive experience in systems administration, IT operations, or a similar technical role Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10, and Windows 11 Experience administering on premises and hybrid Active Directory environments Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams Experience with Hyper V or a comparable enterprise virtualization platform Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, VLANs, routing, and wireless Ability to travel regularly between company facilities in Louisiana Availability to perform occasional after hours and weekend work to support maintenance and incident response Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and own projects end to end Preferred Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or comparable experience. Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft (MS-102, AZ-104, MD-102), CompTIA (Security+, Network+), Fortinet NSE, or Cisco Experience with StarWind vSAN or comparable hyperconverged storage Experience with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate) and Unifi network equipment Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint in a production environment Experience with RMM platforms Exposure to

NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, SOC

2, CMMC, or similar compliance frameworks Scripting experience with PowerShell Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments

Physical Requirements:
