Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Services Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure and network operations in a fast-paced financial services environment. This role sits above traditional help desk support and focuses on escalated infrastructure and network issues, system reliability, and enterprise technology support. Responsibilities Support and resolve escalated infrastructure and network tickets Administer and maintain enterprise servers, virtualization, and networking environments Monitor system and network performance and respond to alerts and outages, including participation in an on-call rotation Troubleshoot complex networking and infrastructure issues across cross-functional teams Manage firewall policies, network segmentation, VPNs, and load balancing Automate operational tasks using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible Perform root cause analysis and document solutions, procedures, and configurations Requirements 5+ years of hands-on network/infrastructure engineering experience Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and network security Experience with enterprise networking equipment and firewall technologies Experience troubleshooting VoIP and video conferencing issues Familiarity with ISP connectivity and service management Experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) preferred Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible) Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNP, PCNSA/PCNSE, VCP) Additional Details Hybrid work arrangement Contract opportunity Standard business hours with occasional on-call responsibilities Interview process includes two rounds of technical interviewsSimilar remote jobs
