Job Description

Detailed JD Candidate Experienced Microsoft Dynamics GP Consultant with strong expertise in upgrading legacy GP environments to the latest versions. Candidate should have hands-on experience in managing end-to-end upgrade initiatives, including infrastructure, database, and application layers, along with custom code remediation and validation.
Project Context Current Environment:
Windows Server 2008 R2 SQL Server 2008 R2 Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013
Target Environment:
Windows Server 2022 SQL Server 2022 Microsoft Dynamics GP v18.8 Key Responsibilities Plan and execute end-to-end upgrade of Microsoft Dynamics GP from legacy to latest version Perform environment assessment, upgrade path planning, and risk analysis
Upgrade:
Windows Server (2008 → 2022) SQL Server (2008 R2 → 2022) Dynamics GP (2013 → v18.8) Analyze, remediate, and validate custom code, integrations, and third-party add-ons Ensure data integrity, migration, and reconciliation during upgrade Develop cutover strategy, rollback plans, and validation procedures Support testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and post-go-live stabilization Troubleshoot and resolve upgrade-related issues Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (2013 to 18.x versions) Proven experience in upgrading GP from legacy versions to latest releases Expertise in: SQL Server upgrade/migration (2008 R2 → 2022) Windows Server upgrade/migration
