You will serve as a technical authority on the production floor, bridging the gap between engineering design and manufacturing execution to ensure high-quality output and operational excellence. Responsibilities Execute complex system-level builds, including precision wiring, harness fabrication, and mechanical integration to meet rigorous performance standards. Analyze intricate engineering schematics and technical documentation to ensure absolute build accuracy and compliance. Perform advanced diagnostic testing using oscilloscopes and specialized instrumentation to validate system functionality. Identify and resolve root causes for production failures, implementing corrective actions that enhance overall system reliability. Spearhead prototype development, providing critical feedback to engineering teams to optimize manufacturability and design efficiency. Mentor junior technicians on best practices, troubleshooting methodologies, and the safe operation of precision assembly tools. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean manufacturing, to streamline workflows and reduce waste. Maintain strict adherence to ESD protocols and quality management systems to ensure product integrity. Qualifications Required Skills Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related discipline. 5+ years of hands-on experience in electromechanical system integration and advanced assembly. Expertise in interpreting complex electrical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical blueprints. Proficiency with precision tools, including torque equipment, soldering stations, and crimping systems. Strong understanding of AC/DC circuitry, grounding principles, and EMI/RFI shielding. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and document technical findings clearly. Preferred Skills Current certifications in IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or
J-STD-001.
Background in high-reliability sectors such as aerospace, medical devices, or robotics. Experience utilizing root cause analysis frameworks like 5 Whys or Pareto charts. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital work instruction platforms. Prior experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles.
