Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION
The Information Systems Specialist manages and optimizes the organization's portfolio of program data and information management platforms. This role ensures the integrity, accessibility, and security of organizational data across housing, human services, and healthcare programs — with a focus on system configuration, data governance, compliance reporting, business intelligence, and cross-system integration. The Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for all program-facing information systems and upholds the organization's obligations under HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable federal and state data standards. (Clarity Human Services, ETO) ensuring data quality, system configuration, and timely HUD-compliant reporting. Administer and maintain HMIS platforms. MA RAFT Program, MA Emergency Assistance Program, and Regional Administering Agency client contracts and payment scheduling. Support Salesforce (HHH/E2E) environments. Public Housing Authority rent and payment processing workflows. Manage MRI Software PHA Pro. Platform in coordination with clinical staff to maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy. Administer the Advanced MD EMR. Looker and Power BI; write SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate program data. Build and maintain BI dashboards. (CSV, XML, JSON, ANSI 837P/835/837I) and API integrations between organizational systems. Manage structured data exchange. enforcing Minimum Necessary Standards and conducting periodic access reviews across all information assets. Serve asHIPAA/HITECH
Data Security Officer, Accurate records of all systems, configurations, and user access privileges. Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) SSH, two-factor authentication, symmetric/asymmetric encryption, and AWS S3 secure cloud storage. Administer security controls Breach investigations and remediation activities. Function as a named officer in CMHA's Incident Response Plan, PaperCut/Konica Minolta document management workflows. LMS, Monday.com, IS platforms, data quality practices, and information security awareness. Develop and deliver staff training.
