Job DescriptionLink Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator (Senior-Level) to join our team at Adelphi, MD.U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Secret ClearanceNon-remote (relocation incentive available)Our Linux System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Windows-based workstations and services in compliance with DoD and ARL IT policies at the Army Research Laboratory. Join a team of dedicated professionals at an industry-leading organization, where you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that contribute to national security. Job Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.

Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning.

Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.

Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.

Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.

Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

Conduct system audits and enforce DoD security requirements.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation.

Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. QualificationsU.S. Citizen with an active DoW Secret ClearanceBA/BS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with five (5+) years of experience working OR seven (7+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment.

IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification.

Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.

Ability to work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing structures and new requirements.
Preferred:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certificationExperience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.

Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Salary Range:
$64,000 - $108,000Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and competencies, geographic location, educational background, certifications, and federal government contract labor categories.
