Description Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our team in support of our government clients. The Linux Engineer will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of Linux-based systems to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operation in compliance with DoD standards. Administer and support Linux servers and workstations, ensuring high availability and performance. Apply patches and security configurations according to DoD Information Assurance standards including STIG compliance. Perform troubleshooting and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Linux environments. Collaborate with cyber security teams to implement NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines. Manage and automate system configurations and deployments using scripting tools such as Bash, Python and Ansible. Support virtualization environments and distributed file systems. Document system changes, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities thoroughly. Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience administering Linux systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred). Experience with security compliance including DISA STIGs and RMF processes. Familiarity with network services such as Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ansible experience preferred. Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware). DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+, CySA+). An active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements.
