Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS

As our next Systems Admin supporting NAVAIR, you'll collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation. Responsibilities Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility. Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers. Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts. Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment. Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans. Manage user accounts and permissions. Deploy and maintain software applications. Troubleshoot technical issues. Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration. Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices. Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance Maintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting. Participate in project planning using Agile methodology. Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure. Understanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking Qualifications Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret (interim to start). Must be a U.S. Citizen CompTIA Sec+ Windows or Linux OS Certification at least 5 Years of experience in the below bullet points Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience a must (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution) Desired skillsets: VMWare, Virtual Networking, System Backups, Networking, Containers, Active Directory experience Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS
is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $79,500.00/Yr. - USD $132,800.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
