The focus for this position is primarily security compliance to maintain and renew Authority to Operate (ATO) Status.

Essential Responsibilities:

Configure and manage LINUX operating systems and install/load operating system software Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process Create bash shell scripts to aid in system stability and deployment repeatability Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems Provide Tier I (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers for escalated tickets

Required:

TS/SCI with Poly++ Bachelors Degree in Computer Studies or related plus 9 years of Linux Administration experience; experience considered in lieu of degree 7+ years of Linux (Redhat/Centos 5 or greater) experience 9 years of experience of bash programming 7 or more years of Perl/Python programming experience Knowledge of web technologies (html, xml, Java2E, etc) 3 or more years of experience with virtualization 3 or more years of experience with Puppet 3 or greater
