Position Overview Based in Bloomfield Hills, MI we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance with both mechanical and electrical expertise, preferably within manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Perform field service activities including routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on induction heating generators and induction hardening machines while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, including both high-voltage and low-voltage systems. Collaborate with technical sales teams and support continuous improvement initiatives to identify customer needs and improve equipment performance. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics and testing. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and equipment performance analyses. What Makes You a Good Fit? 3+ years of experience with high-voltage and low-voltage application services and / or repairs in manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or industrial mechanics. Previous experience as an industrial electrician, field service technician, or military technical specialist is advantageous but not required. Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings. Proficiency using diagnostic tools and electrical measuring instruments. Excellent communication and customer service skills in English. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with induction heating or heat treating equipment is a plus. Experience in technical sales is a plus. Ability to travel as needed for customer support and service calls.
