Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in related field required Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) obtainable within 3 years of hire Three (3) years of related experience working in IT preferred Experience with Google Workspace and/or Office 365 platforms Possess knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and MDM solutions. Possess knowledge of networking and wireless design and implementation fundamentals Possess knowledge of systems backup procedures and policies. Experience managing VoiP systems preferred Experience using Microsoft management tools like SCCM or Intune Evidence of good interpersonal skills with colleagues Evidence of adaptability and problem-solving skills Essential Functions and Duties Perform 2nd level technology hardware/software maintenance and troubleshooting. Server planning, installation, management, and support with advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, in roles such as Active Directory, DNS and
DHCP, NTFS
permissions, File Shares, RDS, log management, etc. Ensures interoperability between servers, computers, and network equipment. Supports all components of the district wide area network and local area networks, including switches, firewalls, routers and other devices connected to the network. Assists in planning for information security with regard to servers, network, desktops, and backup systems. Assists in maintaining integrity of data, applications, servers, and network. Assists in creating and maintaining an up-to-date disaster recovery plan. Assists the district wide data backup system to ensure reliable server and information backups in accordance with industry standards. Assists in maintaining the district's server and network monitoring systems. Assists in maintaining and regularly updating documentation for servers, network, desktop, services, and other platforms related to technology. Supports the district's physical security systems as they pertain to the technology department, including security camera system implementation and support. Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Will occasionally be required to work nights and weekends due to mission critical system outages, new installations, or scheduled maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.
