This role ensures the availability, reliability, performance, and security of these systems by working closely with IT teams and business stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing user access, implementing upgrades and patches, and supporting configuration changes across test, disaster recovery, and production environments. The role also supports monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation efforts to maintain consistent and stable application performance. In addition, the Applications Administrator assists with the evaluation, integration, and administration of new technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to support productivity and process improvement. This includes helping identify opportunities to use tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar platforms, and supporting their implementation in practical, well-governed ways. The role is expected to stay current with relevant technologies and contribute to ongoing improvements in enterprise applications. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support for assigned enterprise applications, ensuring system availability, performance, and overall health through effective configuration and access management Assist in the planning and execution of application upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and routine maintenance across all environments Troubleshoot and resolve application incidents, service requests, and technical issues in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, minimizing impact to business operations Work closely with Infrastructure, Networking, Identity, and Security teams to ensure applications align with enterprise standards and operational requirements Support the implementation and ongoing use of monitoring and alerting tools to proactively identify and address performance or security concerns Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including system configurations, workflows, and standard operating procedures Apply and support governance, security, and compliance configurations, including retention and access controls, in alignment with organizational policies Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational visibility, stakeholder needs, and application usage insights Assist with application integrations across platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and other enterprise systems using standard tools and methods Support the evaluation and implementation of new features and technologies, including AI and automation capabilities, to improve efficiency and functionality AI-Focused Responsibilities Assist in evaluating and testing AI-enabled features and tools to support enterprise applications and improve user productivity Support the configuration, administration, and governance of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, and related platforms Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI and automation, helping translate needs into practical use cases Assist with integrating AI capabilities into existing applications, workflows, and enterprise systems using standard tools and methods Follow and support established standards, guidelines, and best practices for the use of AI within the organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience 3+ years of experience in application support, systems administration, or a related IT role Relevant certifications in enterprise platforms or technologies are a plus Experience supporting applications within Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar enterprise environments Familiarity with or interest in AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms Experience supporting or building workflows, automation, or process improvements within enterprise applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes Ability to learn and apply new tools and technologies, including AI and automation, in a practical way Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical teams and business stakeholders Ability to work independently and remain effective in a fast-paced, operational environment Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn and improve supported systems and processes Additional skills may be required based on the applications and technologies supported
