Job Summary This position is designed to administer, evaluate, troubleshoot and repair the Capitol Complex IP based integrated environmental systems including the following: fire alarm, access control, video recording, and emergency intercom systems, including hardware, software and networking (LAN/WAN) requirements. Additional responsibilities including assisting with the maintenance of the building environmental, parking meter, lighting controls, utility metering, and various LAN operations. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Two years of field experience operating, programming, and maintaining commercial building automation and control systems using programming tools Honeywell CPO, Honeywell CARE and Tridium Niagara N4.Ability to demonstrate an understanding of protocols like BACnet, LON, Modbus, and Honeywell C-bus and how to integrate them into a BAS. Experience with Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) automation system capabilities sufficient to perform application programming activities (e.g., Quick Builder, Graphic Display Builder) as well as 3rd party integration. Two years of field experience calibrating, adjusting, installing, and troubleshooting of utility meters, sensors, and other electronic measuring devices. Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and job specific specifications. Valid MN Class D Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications Two-year technical degree in Industrial Electronic Technology or Computer Technology. Database management systems administration (e.g., Microsoft Access, SQL, Excel, Word) Principles and applications of HVAC, environmental, security and life-safety systems. Control theory and direct digital control (DDC) systems. Functional integration of electronic and mechanical environmental, fire management and security systems processes and needs with automated systems technology. Computer aided/integrated facilities management information systems and technology sufficient to provide program coordination and oversight for unit specialist(s) and technical support in identifying and troubleshooting issues.
