If you're an experienced infrastructure professional who thrives on autonomy, complex problem‑solving, and architecting reliable systems, this full‑time role offers meaningful work, technical depth, and long‑term stability.

Principal Infrastructure Administrator Schedule:
Full‑time
Location:
Flathead Valley What You'll Do Support and maintain all systems and infrastructure across the organization Lead and execute project tasks from concept and planning through design and completion Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues requiring advanced troubleshooting Participate in infrastructure planning, evaluation, and estimation for major projects Configure, install, and maintain systems equipment to ensure reliable business operations Troubleshoot outages, performance issues, and core service disruptions Research new technologies, products, and standards to stay current with industry developments Participate in equipment, hardware, and software installations and upgrades Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to meet SLAs and project goals Create, maintain, and update documentation, diagrams, and checklists Plan and design infrastructure changes, including new equipment acquisition and system reconfiguration Develop and maintain network documentation, security policies, and usage guidelines Engage in team meetings, training, and cross‑department collaboration Perform additional duties as assigned What You Bring Strong comfort with change management and documentation procedures Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving methodologies Expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS Microsoft Windows Server OS Virtual environments Switches, routers, and firewalls Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize Professionalism, tact, and the ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds Willingness to travel to branch locations and participate in on‑call rotations Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays when needed Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with or without accommodation Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field 5+ years of related professional experience 3-5 years managing networking infrastructure lifecycle (installations, configurations, upgrades, replacements) 1-3 years managing Windows and Linux/Unix server systems 1-3 years working with virtualization or SAN systems Current or willing to obtain within 12 months: MCSA, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification Qualities That Make You a Great Fit High initiative and self‑direction Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution‑focused Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and support team growth Why You'll Love This Role High‑impact position supporting mission‑critical systems Autonomy to lead complex infrastructure projects Opportunities for ongoing training, certifications, and professional development Collaborative, team‑oriented IT environment Stable, long‑term career path with meaningful work Ready to Take the Lead on Enterprise‑Level Infrastructure?
