Senior Applications Analyst Location:
Charlotte, NC Position Type:
Full Time contract Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Support & Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and troubleshoot our critical enterprise IT application ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of application development, data engineering, and infrastructure administration, requiring a true end-to-end problem solver. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in Python development, Microsoft SQL Server, and Windows Server administration, paired with a master-level ability to diagnose multi-system failures across infrastructure, security, and data layers. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve complex, multi-system failures spanning the infrastructure layer (Windows Server), application layer, security layer (certificates, authentication), and data layers (SQL Server/Kafka).
System Optimization & Maintenance:
Configure, support, and maintain enterprise web applications, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and optimal performance.
Data Integration & Sync Management:
Actively troubleshoot distributed applications, addressing complex integration, messaging, and data synchronization bottlenecks.
Security & Compliance Enforcement:
Configure and manage secure environments utilizing TLS/mTLS, certificate lifecycle management, and secure service accounts.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner directly with third-party technology vendors (e.g., Subnet) to resolve escalated support scenarios, drive root-cause analysis, and implement permanent bug fixes.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Leverage automated testing frameworks and tools (such as qTest) to validate application performance, security integrity, and patch deployments.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience:
8+ years of professional experience in IT application support, software development, or data engineering roles.
Python Development:
Strong hands-on experience writing, reading, and debugging Python scripts for automation, data processing, or application support.
Database Mastery:
Solid experience managing, querying, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server .
Infrastructure & Platform:
Proficient in Windows Server administration and web application configuration/support.
Security Infrastructure:
Hands-on experience managing TLS / mTLS protocols , certificate installations, and secure service account configurations.
Data Messaging:
Practical experience with Kafka configuration and event-stream troubleshooting.
Testing Tools:
Familiarity with test management tools like qTest .
