Installation & Service Supervisor Salary:
$50k - $60k Position Purpose The person in this position will provide installation, repair, training and demos for our large format printers, vinyl cutting plotters and other digital graphics printing & production equipment. The service area consists of different regions across North Carolina, South Carolina, and New Jersey. Occasional travel to other territories may be required. Essential Job Responsibilities - Performance Indicators Install large format digital graphics printing & production equipment Resolve service tickets in a timely and professional manner, meeting service level agreements Maintain updated service completion status of each job with Installation & Service Supervisor Provide demos of equipment to customers and prospective clients Provide training of equipment to customers Develop & maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for existing customers Provide high quality and timely Technical Support Desk customer service support to internal & external customers with low complaint and error rates Forward any important client information, including sales leads and customer satisfaction issues, to the Installation & Service Supervisor Perform other duties, as assigned. Physical/Mental Abilities and Processes The following abilities are used in reading technical information and performing the installation & service work. These are critical elements for satisfactory performance of the job. Sustained concentration and attention to detail and accuracy. High interpretation and problem solving skills Sitting for sustained periods of time when travelling or working at computer keyboard and desk. Frequent bending, stooping, lifting and transporting of moderately heavy to heavy objects, such as computers, computer peripherals and large format digital printers when out in the field Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds when installing equipment
Stamina:
Must be able to walk and stand on feet more than 80% of the work day Static Strength Trunk Strength Arm-Hand Steadiness Manual Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, hand tools, and to handle other computer & digital printer components Gross Body Coordination Vision (eye-sight) Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required Speech clarity Active listening Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates Acquiring and processing Information Documenting/Recording Information Excellent interpersonal skills Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others Ability to deal with unpleasant or angry people and execute tasks in a high pressure environment Ability to work toward strict deadlines Performing Administrative Activities Selling or Influencing Others Application support experience Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities Analytical and problem solving skills Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards Coordinating with the Work and Activities of Others in the distribution process in relation to the job Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships Interpreting the Meaning of Information for Others Excellent knowledge of computer hardware Computer skills for data entry and information processing Knowledge of desktop operating systems including Windows, Linux and Mac Knowledge of various graphic software including Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Corel Draw & Paint as well as industry specific software Good knowledge of basic math skills Good reading comprehension skills Active listening skills in order to understand and obey direct instructions Additional Requirements This position involves working with high-end equipment & parts and the use of your personal vehicle (with the inclusion of a reimbursement program). A clean criminal background check, a clean three-year driving history and no DWIs is required for insurance purposes.
