Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
Minimum Experience Requirements:
1+ year of experience in system administration of network-attached storage (NAS), storage area networks (SAN), email services, collaboration platforms, and enterprise file/print servers. Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux administration, and virtualized server environments. Experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Exchange Mail Server, Active Directory, and IT security policies. Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize IT system performance in compliance with Army cybersecurity guidelines. Familiarity with system backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and ITSM best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, including web, file, print, and mission-critical application servers. Perform operating system upgrades, patch management, and security updates in accordance with Army IT policies. Monitor and optimize server performance, network traffic, and system resource utilization. Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating and implementing appropriate hardware/software solutions. Develop and maintain a comprehensive IT configuration database and system documentation library. Ensure compliance with DoD
RMF, DISA
STIGs, IAVM security directives, and Army cybersecurity policies. Implement access control measures, endpoint security configurations, and vulnerability remediation. Regularly audit server logs, security policies, and IT access controls to prevent unauthorized access. Enforce system hardening and network segmentation best practices to protect Army IT assets.
