Job Description
Customer Service Engineer Forma-Fab | Manufacturing & Sheet Metal Solutions Forma-Fab is looking for a motivated Customer Service Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, customer service, and problem-solving. In this role, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver technical expertise, ensure product quality, and build strong long-term partnerships. What You'll Do As a Customer Service Engineer, you will serve as a key link between our customers, engineering team, and production staff to ensure successful product outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Build relationships with new customers and integrate their requirements into Forma-Fab systems and processes. Provide technical support through phone, email, remote access, and onsite visits . Manage customer history and process documentation using Global Shop ERP . Assist with design control and process improvements using Forma-Fab's manufacturing capabilities. Train customers and end users on Forma-Fab standards and product testing procedures . Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Product teams to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues. Recommend upgrades, design modifications, or preventive maintenance solutions to improve performance. Maintain strong knowledge of products, tools, and industry best practices. Lead and support the customer service team while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards . What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in sheet metal design or manufacturing processes . Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2-5 years of experience with manufacturing techniques, Lean Manufacturing, and BOM processes . Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills. Excellent customer service mindset and relationship-building abilities. Willingness to travel to customer locations when needed. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred Skills Experience working with ERP or CRM systems for service tracking and documentation. Certifications such as OSHA, Six Sigma, or ITIL . Experience in the sheet metal industry (preferred but not required). Work Environment This position involves a mix of office, shop-floor, and customer-site work . Some travel may be required, along with occasional extended hours to support customer needs.
