Full-Time / Non-Exempt Position Overview The Tier 1 System Administrator provides first-level technical support to hospital staff across clinical and administrative departments. This role ensures reliable access to systems, devices, and secure networks, supporting daily hospital operations in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond to help desk tickets and service requests for hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Support staff with workstation setup, login assistance, and peripheral troubleshooting (e.g., badge readers, printers, scanners). Assist with onboarding processes including account creation, access provisioning, and device configuration. Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and perform basic diagnostics. Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 or specialized support teams. Required Qualifications 0-2 years of IT support experience; healthcare or hospital experience preferred. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation are desirable. Familiarity with Windows OS, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts. Strong communication and customer service skills. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and hospital security protocols.
