Linux Administrator

The Linux System Administrator is responsible to serve as the primary resource for the management and administration of all Linux assets at Holtec, including J2EE-based application servers, Oracle database servers, and high-performance computing clusters.

Camden, NJ Primary Responsibilities:

Ensure all Linux systems adhere to IT compliance and security controls through proper configuration, patching, and maintenance, with strong adherence to Linux security best practices. Maintain system performance and ensure high availability. Develop, implement, and execute disaster recovery plans and procedures. Perform regular system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Install and configure physical and virtual servers to support AI workloads. Administer and manage J2EE-based applications on Linux platforms. Administer and manage high-performance clusters running Linux operating systems. Support COTS and internally developed applications. Monitor Oracle database availability, including RMAN backups and data recovery procedures. Implement high-availability strategies for Linux servers and virtualization platforms. connectivity. Maintain strong knowledge of storage solutions and subsystems, including multipathing, LVM, XFS, and udev rules. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or Bash. Leverage configuration management and provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to automate deployments and maintain system consistency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree of Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Pursuant to

requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Linux system administration, including management of enterprise-level applications and high-performance clusters. Strong experience managing virtualization platforms such as OpenShift and VMware. Knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery strategies. Experience managing and configuring enterprise application and middleware systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with RHEL 7/8/9 and AI distributions. Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $125,000 - $145,000
