Duties Deliver prompt and effective technical support to users experiencing hardware, software, or network issues Manage computer systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals Troubleshoot software problems across operating systems such as Windows and macOS, ensuring minimal downtime Maintain and support computer networking components like LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), and firewalls to ensure secure connectivity Assist with hardware upgrades, repairs, and inventory management of computer hardware components Support IT infrastructure operations by utilizing tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and help desk ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution Collaborate with team members to implement security measures including firewall configurations and network access controls Provide user training on basic IT procedures and best practices to enhance overall digital literacy Qualifications Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of operating systems such as Windows and macOS Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting Proficiency in managing computer hardware and software troubleshooting across various platforms Knowledge of IT support tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, or similar ticketing systems Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Nice-to-have skills include experience with Linux operating systems and familiarity with help desk operations This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their IT career in a supportive environment.
