Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator with a strong background in Microsoft cloud technologies, infrastructure management, backup solutions, and network systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and optimizing Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), Windows Server environments, Veeam backup platforms, and VoIP systems, along with expertise in tools such as ConnectWise, Barracuda, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SentinelOne. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of IT systems and infrastructure. The SysAdmin will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability while supporting both cloud and on-premise environments. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server environments, and core IT infrastructure. Manage and monitor Veeam backup solutions to ensure data integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity. Oversee configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network and security systems, including Barracuda, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SentinelOne. Design and implement cloud-based and hybrid solutions using Microsoft 365, Intune, and Autopilot. Monitor system performance, availability, and security; proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users. Perform advanced troubleshooting of server, network, and cloud-related issues, acting as an escalation point for support teams. Manage DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity services across hybrid environments. Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools. Maintain and enforce system security policies, access controls, patching, and compliance standards. Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders on infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and deployments. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications & Experience Experience:
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure-focused IT roles.
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and hybrid identity environments.
Cloud Knowledge:
Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, and Azure-based services.
Backup & Security:
Hands-on experience with Veeam, Barracuda, and endpoint protection platforms such as SentinelOne.
Networking:
Solid understanding of networking concepts and experience managing Meraki and/or Ubiquiti devices.
Scripting & Automation:
Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and system management.
Problem Solving:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage complex system issues.
Communication:
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills) ➕
