The NJTA is dedicated to the safe and efficient movement of people and goods along their toll roads. Every day, the Authority's highways provide the safest, quickest, and most convenient routes for hundreds of commuters, truckers, and recreational travelers. We are committed to constantly improving the safety, technology, and resiliency of our toll roadway systems through sound fiscal policy and maintaining an excellent state of good repair that promotes the connectedness of our customers across the state and region. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is seeking applications for a Telecommunications Systems Administrator position in the ITS department and located at the Woodbridge, NJ headquarters.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Working under the general direction of Manager, Voice Services, the Telecommunications Systems Administrator will install, configure, maintain, and support the Authority's voice and data telecommunications systems to ensure proper operations. They will monitor network performance and provide technical assistance. The Telecommunications Systems Administrator will ensure functionality, stability, security, and expandability of the Authority's Communications environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Modify components of the collaboration environment. Provide technical assistance and training to Authority employees and others, as required. Provide services for Authority issued cellular/mobile devices. Support and troubleshoot A/V equipment and video conferencing equipment. Coordinate with vendors and NJTA technicians regarding voice related field repairs and troubleshooting. Work with vendors and NJTA technicians to get hardware repaired and replaced. Assist users with the NJTA notification systems. Provide on-call phone support regarding voice related issues. Support video conferencing technologies such as Webex and Teams. Resolve JIRA service tickets assigned to the collaboration team. Open service tickets with vendors to resolve issues. Review billing information for lease circuits and cellular/mobile services. Make corrections and coordinate with carrier(s) to ensure credits and charges are accurate month to month. Document and communicate technical problems and solutions. Maintain inventory of collaboration equipment, extensions, circuits, and other pertinent voice devices and services. RESPONSIBILITY FOR RELATIONSHIPS
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all employees of the Authority. Represent the Authority in a positive, professional, and confidential manner in all dealings with external agencies, contractors, and all other individuals. Maintain professional demeanor even in high stress emergency and weather situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
' Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated experience. Knowledgeable with voice and networking concepts and terminology. Knowledgeable in billing with carriers and vendors. Ability to work with ticketing systems to resolve issues. Experienced in troubleshooting telecommunications issues with users. Experienced in troubleshooting basic A/V equipment issues, such as TV's, microphones, etc. Strong customer service skills. Skillful in project and detail management. Ability to work in a twenty-four (24) hour operation. Must possess a valid New Jersey Driving License.

This position will be located at the headquarters building, located in Woodbridge, NJ. Toll-free commutation is available for employee travel to and from work on the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. This pos i tion is represented by IFPTE Loca l 200.
