  • Full-time Maxiaids is a leading supplier of products designed to assist Senior Citizens, those who are Vision Impaired or Blind, those who are Hearing Impaired or Deaf, as well as those who have various Medical, and Mobility challenges.
The position of IT Administrator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day IT operations of the company, providing technical support to our users, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT services across the organization. In this role, you will have to manage requests from users as well as management, ensuring efficient communication and resolution of technical issues. Duties and Responsibilities Provide both hardware and software support to end users by acting on appropriate requests. Create and maintain user Domain accounts, as well as login accounts for all software applications, while assigning the appropriate level of access rights. Coordinate the setup and configuration of Windows PCs, printers, peripherals, and software for new employees, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot any PC, network hardware (switches, SonicWALL firewall, etc.), and printer performance/security related issues. Support Avaya VOIP telephone system, including user and extension setup, as well as voicemail management software. Ability to implement and troubleshoot Windows Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.) using various network tools and resources in order to maintain optimal security, and performance. Create or modify Order, Inventory and Sales reports for management using Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL scripting. Document IT procedures, policies, and best practices, ensuring up-to-date resources are available. Coordinate with vendors for IT services, and maintaining vendor relationships. Maintain and update records of IT equipment, software licenses, and assets, ensuring accurate inventory management. Ensure that all computers are kept up to date with latest operating system patches and anti-virus protection software & definitions. Enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures, proactively identifying and mitigating potential threats.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, with working knowledge of Microsoft Networking (wired and wireless). Must be adept at installing and configuring Windows PC hardware and software. Familiarity with network backup hardware and software, such as Unitrends Enterprise backup, for both local and cloud backups. Knowledge of antivirus software, such as Sophos Endpoint Protection. Experience in installing and supporting applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Working knowledge of Order Processing / Invoicing software, as well as Warehouse shipping software utilizing UPS, USPS, and FedEx. Ability to write and modify MS SQL scripts. Ability to modify Crystal Reports is a plus. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to anticipate Growth or review area of need, to improve efficiency and productivity by implementing Hardware, Software solutions or improvements in proceedures

Education and/or
Experience:
Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Five years of experience supporting and maintaining a variety of hardware, software & networking technologies. Microsoft Certifications, and other IT certifications are a plus
