Duties Help As an IT Specialist (Network Services/Systems Administrion), GS-2210-12, you will serve as the senior system administror providing planning, directing, and coordining of Command and Control (C2) missions systems' installion, maintenance and support. Serves as lead system administror, trainer and supervisor, and provides Informion Assurance (lA) support. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a two year trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. For positions requiring the operion of motor vehicles, candides must have a valid ste driver's license for the ste in which they live or are principally employed. The employee's normal duty days and hours may require roting shifts and/or days. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial vehicles and aircraft to perform temporary duty. The employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance within one year of appointment. The employee must obtain and maintain Security+ certificion and may be required to obtain and maintain Linux+ or other certificions I.A.W. DoD 8570 and local requirements. 3+ years' experience with the Linux opering system is highly desirable. Qualificions
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Experience, educion, and/or training th has provided a basic knowledge of da processing functions and general management principles th enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to autome a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operor or assistant, computer sales representive, program analyst, or other positions th required the use or adaption of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade. Must have experience with a broad range of IT principles, methods, advancements, policies, systems concepts and analysis, design, development, testing and applicions to include hardware and software. Must have experience and skill in supporting the parent organizion's and subordine organizions' network architecture, topology and protocols; ability to study existing architecture of installion systems and test possible enhancements. Must have experience installing and maintaining software and hardware, control current versions and future releases of applicion software, and document the physical configurion of the organizion's informion systems and command and control (C2) systems. Must have experience applying methods for evaluing, implementing, and dissemining IT security tools and procedures; IT security certificion and accredition requirements; and network operions/protocols.
