Install and Service Technician I Syracuse, NY (and regional job sites) | Full-Time Are you ready to launch your career in the low voltage security industry ? At IK Systems, we're looking for an Install and Service Technician I to join our growing team. This entry-level role is the perfect way to gain hands-on experience with integrated security systems - including surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and structured cabling. You'll work directly alongside experienced technicians and project foremen, learning best practices while building the foundation for a long-term career. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to grow, this role offers the training, mentorship, and opportunity to advance to Technician II and beyond. What You'll Do Install and service low-voltage cabling, data racks, cameras, access control hardware, and alarm devices Perform cable terminations, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting under supervision Learn how to read and apply manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams in real-world settings Assist senior technicians on projects at commercial client sites Maintain accurate daily work logs and jobsite documentation Follow OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to ensure safe, efficient installations What You Bring High School Diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training a plus) Valid Driver's License required Basic understanding of wiring, hand tools, and mechanical concepts Strong work ethic and willingness to learn through on-the-job training OSHA 10 certification a plus (not required) Ability to travel regionally depending on assignments Why Join IK Systems?
