We are seeking a Cyber System Administrator to join our team. You will provide enterprise-level system administration and cybersecurity support for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems supporting our customer. You will install, configure, harden, and maintain servers, virtual machines, and OT/ICS solutions, ensuring full compliance with DoD and customer cybersecurity requirements, including
RMF, NIST SP 800
‑53/800‑82, and DISA STIGs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Install, configure, harden, and maintain physical/virtual servers, appliances, and management workstations; perform recurring patching, anti‑virus updates, backups, and equipment upgrades. Implement and enforce DISA STIGs and NIST control requirements (800‑53/800‑82) for IT and OT/ICS systems; document and justify any STIG exceptions in coordination with DLA cybersecurity. Provide technical input and artifacts (system configurations, ports/protocols/services, test evidence) to support RMF activities, cybersecurity risk assessments, and Authority to Connect (ATC) decisions. Perform privileged system administration in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 and customer account provisioning requirements; maintain active base and elevated accounts and complete mandatory training within required timelines. Support OT/ICS/FRCS/Facilities IoT solutions by installing, configuring, patching, backing up, and testing application software and control system components in coordination with engineers, customer, and asset owners. Implement secure network configurations (VLANs, IEEE 802.1x/port security) and manage required ports/protocols/services for normal and emergency operations; ensure any wireless/cellular use meets FIPS 140
‑3 and STIG requirements. Develop and maintain "as-built" architecture and configuration documentation aligned with customer's Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture (PERA) and provide inputs to monthly DoDM 8140.03 workforce reports. Required Qualifications:
One or more DoDM 8140.03 baseline IAT/SA-level certifications, such as: CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA CySA+ or CASP+ (or equivalent advanced security certification), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or similar At least one OS- or platform-specific Computing Environment (CE) certification such as: Microsoft (e.g., Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or higher, VMware (e.g., VCP), Relevant vendor/database certifications (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or related field A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on system administration experience (Windows and/or Linux) in enterprise or DoD environments, including virtualization (e.g., VMware) and complex networks. Experience implementing or supporting DISA STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and secure baselines. Understanding of RMF, NIST SP 800
‑53, and basic network security concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, 802.1x/port security). Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in DoD or customer environments, including customer Remote VDI and Service Portal workflows. Hands-on experience with OT/ICS/FRCS/Facilities IoT systems and architectures using PERA. Familiarity with Zero Trust (ZT) and ICAM concepts in federal/DoD environments. Clearance Requirements:
