Job Description

Working under the direction of the Information Technology Administrator, the Systems Administrator is responsible for the upkeep and operation of the computer systems network. This is an onsite position. Maintains and operates server systems in the datacenter; Oversees deployment of software's and hardware; Responsible for the management of the Identity and Access Management system; Manages the unified communication system; Coordinates with vendors on Access Control system and video surveillance system; Implements business workflow processes as identified by IT Administrator. Lead vendor management through contracts and projects; Provides reports to the IT Administrator related to contract monitoring. Provides technical advice and planning to management; Assists in developing procedures and standards for systems. Participates in IT strategic planning Involved with vendor management; Provides reports to the IT Administrator related to contract monitoring.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Will be required to work periods of on call. Position requires to be onsite Other related duties as assigned All Duties Performed Within +/- 5%Completion of undergraduate core program coursework in information technology, Computer Science, Network Engineer or related discipline 3-5 years experience working with Microsoft or Linux server, systems, and software environment required. Professional certification such as MCSA, AWS or Azure solutions architect or equivalent preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Both Desktop and Server); Knowledge of Windows scripting; Working knowledge of Windows group policy; Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Ability to troubleshoot Operating System issues; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to diagnose and solve PC problems; Ability to train and explain computers and software to County employees.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a normal office environment where there is no discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust or the like. Will be required to work periods of on call.
