Job Description

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will provide frontline technical support for computer systems, networks, and end users. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues to ensure reliable and secure IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and updates Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory, email, and business systems Set up new employees' equipment and assist with offboarding IT access Maintain IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff or vendors as needed Assist with routine system maintenance, backups, and security practices Support basic cybersecurity measures (patching, antivirus, MFA support) Provide clear communication and customer-focused support to end users
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-3 years of experience in IT support or help desk role Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems (Mac experience a plus) Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.) Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation Exposure to cybersecurity best practices Experience supporting ERP, CAD, or manufacturing software (if applicable)

Supervisor Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job is based in a manufacturing environment with a combination of office and plant floor responsibilities. This role uses standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time Non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for on-call support.
Travel:
Local travel between facilities is required for this position.
