To design the network infrastructure (physical and virtual) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient networking systems to support the goals of the District.Employment Terms:

Adequate to exchange informationEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Installs and configures the District's Network Operating System Troubleshoots server and network and Internet connections for each school and Central Office Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all computers, printers, networks, servers, mobile computer labs, telecommunication devices, presentation systems, televisions and related electronics for each school and central office Coordinates the maintenance of the system-wide inventory of technology related equipment Aids in the procurement, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software Demonstrates and provides assistance in the use of available and emerging technologies Specifies and implements district standards for hardware purchases, local area networking (LAN's), wide area networking (WAN's) Coordinates repair work schedules with site personnel for the purpose of minimizing disruption of services and/or inconvenience Develops documentation and assist in the implementation of technology programs Responds to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns Troubleshoots software (e.g., server, local machines, spyware, virus, user rights) and hardware (e.g. cables, switches and components) issues over the telephone and in person for students and staff District wide. Maintains network security to protect against viruses, hackers and other damages. Maintains confidentiality and integrity of electronic records. Researches new technologies and makes recommendations for the purchase of network systems, utilities, and/or software as requested. Maintains records on the configuration, installation, warranty, licenses, and allocation of computer software, hardware, and/or network systems Installs, maintains and repairs network equipment and software Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students and resolves conflict in a professional manner During "non-school months" aids in the clean-up, in-house refurbishing, and imaging of student devices Performs any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent Displays ethical and professional behavior while working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the district Participate in required workshops; seminars or trainings Attend and participate in all required meetings Maintain a positive and willing attitude Maintain a good attendance recordPosition Type:
