Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field or relevent working experience 5 years of experience as a System Administrator Strong working experience with Microsoft suite Background in switches and routers - Cisco/JunOS experience troubleshooting VoIP system issues Job Description An educational services client of Insight Global is looking for a Networking Services Administrator to join their team. This person will support for networking, systems and security services for the school districts that this team services. This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity . There will be travel required for this position. Please see the below day-to-day responsibilities: 1. Designs, analyzes, implements, and manages physical and virtual network and server infrastructure and data storage systems to accommodate needs and comply with information technology policies, regulations, and guidelines; ensures the functionality and operational stability of network and server infrastructure and systems. 2. Design, develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain infrastructure and server technology remediation, and security best practices. 3. Perform and/or oversee server operating system and software application installation and upgrades. 4. Maintain and verify backup servers/systems. 5. Lead the management of security solutions, including firewall, XDR/MDR software, and intrusion detection systems in conjunction with the Supervisor of Networking Services. 6. Administer the management of all network hardware and related equipment. 7. Oversee network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. 8. Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
