Job Description

General Summary:
Systems Administrators have a broad range of experience administering established systems and software from the Desktop level to the Server level and some experience managing Cloud-based systems. This person is a good communicator and a person who can manage well when the client is in a pickle and really needs strong guidance. This person should be prompt and/or know the importance of communicating ETA's to clients. Most importantly, this person should be eager to learn while following prescribed procedures.
Position Responsibilities and Experience:
Provide remote support for end-users Answer Service Desk phones and monitors Triage board for new issues Perform setup of new users and administration of client systems, based on documented procedures Perform routine prep of new PCs, Laptops & Switches, based on documented procedures Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customization of applications per customer's preferences, standards, RSI's best practices, and documented procedures Understanding of and ability to install, configure and test workstation hardware and peripherals Administer file and print services, Active Directory, M365, Azure Virtual Desktops, VDI, and backup solutions, based on documented procedures System Administration, including add/remove users and groups, configure application and file permissions, password resets Troubleshooting skills including common applications (Office, Acrobat, Teams, Zoom, etc.), the Windows Desktop OS file system and registry, network troubleshooting, printer troubleshooting, domain membership, hardware components, Internet, etc. Experience with smartphones (iOS and Android) and tablets Experience with WiFi technologies and ability to troubleshoot various adapters and access points Perform system reboots for clients Check Backup Logs daily and escalate issues Monitor alerting systems (SOC, NOC) for new alerts and respond appropriately, based on established procedures Conduct Monthly Audits of RMM Tool and other portals, such as antivirus, Office 365, EDR, etc. Update/Maintain documentation of client IT systems, networks, line of business software, etc. Use hypervisor to take snapshots Perform server reboots after hours, based on documented procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience required with current Windows desktop and virtual desktop operating systems Experience with Microsoft products such as Office Desktop applications, Office 365, etc. Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting Internet connectivity Experience with Terminal Services and Remote Access Concepts (SRA, VPN) Understanding of relationship between switches, patch panels and connecting nodes to a network Working knowledge of wireless technologies Able to learn quickly, be curious and take direction about technology and client issues
Credentials and Experience:
1-3 years' experience Bachelor's degree, equivalent certifications, or on the job training
