Full Job Description Primary Function:
The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable connectivity, optimal performance, and strong security across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-connected environments. The Network Administrator works closely with IT teams, vendors, and end users to support business operations and future growth. Major Duties and Responsibilities Design, configure, install, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPNs Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly. Escalate issues to IT Management promptly. Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, patch management, access controls, segmentation, and intrusion prevention Manage

connections and remote site connectivity Support cloud and hybrid networking (e.g., Azure/AWS connectivity, VPNs, etc) Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects Ensure network compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices Provide network support and assist other IT teams with escalations Collaborate with systems, security, and application teams to support enterprise solutions. Recommend improvements aligned with business needs. Participate in on-call rotation and support queues as required Develop and maintain the Credit Union System's Network procedures and diagrams. Assist in planning and participating in executing the yearly disaster recovery test. Document, analyze and review results. Report outcome to appropriate personnel. Perform other duties as assigned by IT Management. Understand and describe the purpose of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Asset Control policy (OFAC). Identify the BSA Administrator and responsibilities. Complete annual BSA training. Know where to find the BSA policies, procedures, and forms. Responsible for understanding and complying with the iTHINK Financial Cybersecurity Phishing Standards and Guidelines for the safety and soundness of the Credit Union. Complete on-going training as assigned to stay current with new trends. Know where to find the Cybersecurity policies and procedures. Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Know all features and benefits of the Credit Union's products and services. Full knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and Credit Union's service philosophy. Full knowledge of safety and security program for false alarms, robberies, bomb threats and extortion. Thorough knowledge and proficiency of Credit Union's network systems, computer systems, Window's servers, Win11+, Microsoft Office, PowerShell, and other operating system software and processes. Comprehensive knowledge of Information Security standards, and implementation. Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions. Ability to serve as backup to other IT representatives. Behavioral Model; What activities are involved. a) Communicate clearly, timely, effectively, and professionally in verbal & written format with members, employees, and vendors. b) Analyze technical data, relevant facts and develop solutions. c) Assess needs of multiple employees and prioritize requests ensuring highest quality service possible. d) Process credit union information, member information and transactions consistent with BSA procedures. e) Exercise judgment under general direction to interpret, act upon and handle daily routine. Outcomes; The expected results, goals, and objectives. Individual goals for productivity and accuracy are achieved. 2. Ensure the confidentiality and security of credit union and member information being processed. 3. All work performed conforms to Credit Union guidelines and standards. 4. Serve as backup to other IT representatives. 5. Perform other duties as may be assigned by IT Management. Education and Experience Job requires a four-year college level of language, math and reasoning skills and three years' experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Formal position training should be supplemented with continuing education. Work Environment/Physical Activities Job requires the ability to work in fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. Job does not have specific volume and pace of work standards except that the job requires that end users be served in the timeliest manner possible.
