Managed IT Services (MSP) / Education Technology About the Position We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) team. This role primarily supports K-12 schools , special needs educational organizations, and other business clients, ensuring their technology infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and efficient. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys working directly with clients and has experience supporting Google Workspace for Education, Chromebooks, Windows environments, and modern IT systems. Patience, professionalism, and excellent communication skills are essential, particularly when assisting educators and staff in special education environments. Key Responsibilities Provide remote and onsite technical support to multiple client locations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals. Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and business applications. Administer and support Google Workspace for Education, including user accounts, Organizational Units (OUs), Groups, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Classroom. Enroll, configure, troubleshoot, and manage Chromebooks through the Google Admin Console. Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and user account management where applicable. Diagnose and resolve network issues involving Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switches, and internet connectivity. Monitor and respond to service requests using the company's ticketing system while maintaining accurate documentation. Assist with endpoint protection, backups, cybersecurity best practices, and proactive maintenance. Deploy and support classroom technology, including interactive displays, projectors, and instructional devices. Participate in client onboarding, hardware deployments, upgrades, and special IT projects. Work collaboratively with senior engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality IT services. Provide exceptional customer service while minimizing downtime and disruption for clients. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or MSP environments preferred. Experience administering Google Workspace and the Google Admin Console. Hands-on experience supporting and managing Chromebooks. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic server administration. Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in K-12 education or supporting school districts. Experience supporting special needs schools or educational programs, with an understanding of assistive technologies and accessibility considerations. Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools and Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms. Industry certifications (not required but beneficial): CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ Google Workspace Administrator Microsoft certifications Other relevant technical certifications What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Enjoys solving technical challenges and helping people succeed with technology.
