Job Description

We are partnered with a leading provider of Building Automation Systems (BAS) solutions, delivering advanced controls, energy management, and system integration services across commercial and mission-critical environments. The organisation has a strong technical culture and maintains long-standing client relationships across sectors such as healthcare, education, data centers, and corporate facilities.
Position Summary:
The Senior Building Automation Service Technician is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and optimizing BAS systems across a diverse client base. This role acts as a technical lead in the field, supporting complex service issues, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring high-quality system performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve complex BAS and HVAC controls issues across multiple platforms Perform service, maintenance, and system optimization on existing installations Lead troubleshooting efforts on integrations, communications networks, and system performance issues Support commissioning and upgrades of BAS systems as required Interface directly with clients, providing technical guidance and maintaining strong relationships Mentor and support junior technicians in the field Document service activities, recommendations, and system changes accurately Ensure systems are running efficiently, identifying opportunities for energy improvements
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Building Automation / HVAC controls service Strong hands-on experience with one or more BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara, Distech, Delta, Johnson Controls, Trane, Honeywell) Proven expertise in troubleshooting control systems, field devices, and networks Solid understanding of HVAC systems, sequences of operation, and control strategies Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols Ability to read and interpret control drawings and wiring diagrams Strong client-facing communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Niagara N4 certification or equivalent Experience with system integration and multi-vendor environments Previous leadership or mentoring experience Exposure to mission-critical or large commercial projects
