Full Job Description Systems Administrator Clearance Level:
Must have an Active Secret Clearance to be considered for this opportunity. Aquila Technology is looking for a highly skilled System Administrator to support one of the nation's leading defense research organizations.

The team focuses on the techniques, operational concepts, and advanced sensor systems that are needed to obtain timely and predictive information about space objects. IT support is needed to ensure the success of our mission critical operations and the development of our sensor systems. A Systems Administrator will be apart of a team responsible for upgrades, maintenance and operations of three high-power radar systems including the recently upgraded Haystack Ultra-wideband Satellite Imaging Radar (HUSIR).
Must Have Clearance Level:
Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance) 3 years Security plans (i.e. RMF), procedures, and compliance with DoD directive 8140 3 years Troubleshooting hardware and software issues 3 years Troubleshooting network issues 3 years Scripting and Task Automation 3 years Linux Environment 5 years Systems Administration 3 years System Documentation Nice to Have Enterprise hardware & software applications (VMWare ESX, Cisco/Juniper, NetAPP, Networker, Ansible)) Mission Critical Environments Programming Languages (e.g., Perl, Python, C/C++) Responsibilities include but not limited to: Specify, design, implement, and test network and computer system configurations and upgrades in consultation with the staff Develop, coordinate, and implement network security plans and measures in accordance with government and org policies Identify system performance issues and assess user needs to recommend specific changes and upgrades Perform data backups and recoveries; assist staff with computer and network problems and tasks Research and recommend commercial hardware and software products to meet project and group requirements Order hardware and software products Renew software licenses to ensure continuity of service Interact with vendors, org personnel, Security, and other system administrators to coordinate procurements, installations, upgrades, and other services.
Must Have:
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision are required. Must be team-oriented, be able to create documentation on systems to satisfy certification, technical staff, and end user needs. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking problems is required. All tuition reimbursement requests must be submitted to and approved by the team member's Manager prior to course registration. Reimbursement will be issued upon successful course completion and submission of final grades and proof of payment. 401K with Fidelity

Company match on employee contribution:
$1/$1 up to 3%, then .50 cents / $1 for 4th and 5th %s Fully vested from day one Company match does not apply to catch-up contribution Cell Phone & Internet Reimbursed up to $150 monthly to cover cell phone, data, and home internet expenses. Aquila Technology will reimburse team members who work from home ONLY for cell phone/mobile device fees for work-related communications and/or operations each month. Employees eligible for this benefit must work remote 2 days a week or more to qualify. Buy Your Own Device (BYOD)
  • Team members are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 every three (3) years for the purchase of electronic equipment used to access corporate services.
To qualify for this benefit, employees must have completed a minimum of six (6) months of employment and must agree to and sign the Device Minimum Configuration Form prior to reimbursement. Electronic devices eligible under the Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) program are limited to cell phones, laptops, and tablets.s
Work Schedule:
This position will be 100% onsite due to the nature of the work. There may be some remote flexibility on a case by case basis but there are no regular remote days.
Clearance Level:
Candidate must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to acquire and maintain a Top Secret clearance.•
