Job Description
We are seeking a Tier 2 Systems Administrator for a hands-on technical role supporting a primary client environment while remaining part of a broader managed services technical team. This role includes scheduled on-site support, remote administration, systems support, network troubleshooting, security administration, documentation, and escalated user support. This is not a traditional help desk role. The ideal candidate is a capable systems administrator who can work independently, communicate clearly, document work properly, and support both day-to-day operations and higher-level infrastructure needs. Key Responsibilities Systems & Microsoft Administration Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, MFA, user accounts, groups, permissions, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and core business infrastructure. Support backups, server health checks, virtual machines, routine maintenance, and general infrastructure troubleshooting. Network & Infrastructure Support Support firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs, wireless connectivity, remote access, and general network troubleshooting. Assist with connectivity issues, basic routing and subnetting, vendor coordination, and network documentation updates. Security & Endpoint Support Assist with endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability remediation, secure configuration, account permission reviews, and incident escalation. Provide Tier 2 support for workstations, software issues, endpoint configuration, escalated tickets, and end-user technical support when needed. Ticketing, Documentation & Communication Document work clearly in tickets, including time entries, troubleshooting steps, status updates, and completed actions. Maintain system documentation, runbooks, support notes, and operational procedures while communicating clearly with client contacts, internal staff, vendors, and management. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on IT administration, systems support, or managed services experience. Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and user account administration. Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting. Experience supporting workstations, servers, users, permissions, business applications, and endpoint security tools. Comfortable working through a ticketing system with accurate documentation and time tracking. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, escalate appropriately, and communicate professionally. Ability to support scheduled on-site work in the Beaver Falls, PA area. Preferred Experience Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, endpoint management, backup systems, virtualization, firewall administration, vulnerability remediation, or compliance-driven IT environments. Relevant certifications such as Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience. Work Environment This role is hybrid in both work location and tasking model. The Systems Administrator will support a primary client environment through scheduled on-site days and remote work. When primary client work does not require full-time attention, the Systems Administrator will assist with internal technical tasks, ticket queues, documentation, project preparation, and other assigned support work.

$42.00 - $46.00 per hour
