Position Overview The UAS Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting senior team members in operating, training, and demonstrating unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for government and defense clients. This role emphasizes assisting in the execution of UAS missions, delivery of training, and ensuring equipment readiness. Frequent travel to corporate sites at Fayetteville, NC; Virginia Beach, VA; Port Orange, FL; and Huntsville, AL. A strong preference is given to candidates possessing prior military experience. Responsibilities Assist in the conduct of drone/UAS operations in compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Support the delivery of training sessions and live demonstrations under the supervision of senior personnel. Participate in the setup, maintenance, and logistics of UAS equipment. Maintain accurate inventory, checklists, and training records. Contribute to the preparation of instructional materials and technical documentation. Support operational testing and evaluation of UAS products. Collaborate effectively with technical teams and client stakeholders. Adhere at all times to safety protocols and operational security measures. Required Experience/Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 4 years of experience in UAS/drone operation (military, law enforcement, hobbyist, or commercial). FAA Part 107 certification or willingness to obtain. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel frequently to designated government sites. Preferred Experience/Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in aviation, technology, or a related discipline. Experience assisting with or conducting UAS training and demonstrations. Familiarity with UAS mission planning and equipment maintenance procedures. Prior exposure to government or military UAS operational environments. Former military service or relevant technical experience. Special Requirements/Security Clearance Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance 25%+ travel required Potential travel to OCONUS locations for durations of 1 month of more
