Systems Administrator

Description We're actively building a pipeline of experienced Systems Administrators for upcoming contract opportunities with enterprise clients across the Charlotte area and remote environments. If you're a hands-on infrastructure professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges, we'd like to connect. What You'll Be Doing + Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2016-2022/2025) and/or Linux systems + Administer Active Directory / LDAP, including user provisioning, group policy, and domain services + Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) + Oversee virtualization platforms (Hyper-V and/or VMware) + Perform server patching, upgrades, backups, and performance tuning + Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across servers, storage, and network dependencies + Support Azure or hybrid cloud environments + Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash + Participate in on-call rotations as needed Requirements What We're Looking For + 4+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator or Infrastructure role + Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory + Hands-on experience with M365 and virtualization technologies + Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) + Scripting experience (PowerShell strongly preferred) + Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills + Ability to work independently in a contract/consulting environment Nice to Have + Experience with server migrations, domain consolidations, or infrastructure upgrades + Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks + Experience in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud) Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
